2 Responses to Credit Unions in Puerto Rico, for banking, savings, loans, mortgages

I recently moved from the states to the west coast of Puerto Rico to run a business and reside for at least half the year (during the winter…) I opened an account with Banco Popular thinking that they would have the most resources and tools being that they are the biggest of the banks on the island. I have all the bells and whistles including their ‘Web Cash Manager Suite’ which lets me send Wires/ACH to vendors, track my expenses etc etc. I am underwhelmed with the technology and frankly my experience with the bank has been mediocre at best and of course being a bank they nickel and dime the shit out of you. Anyway, I am looking into other options for business or commercial accounts that give me all the tools I need to not have to waste a ton of time going to the branches etc. Does anyone have any experience with First Bank or Scotiabank for Business accounts? Care to share those experiences?
