Instead of paying $2.28 or more per loaf of bread, you might consider going to a bakery outlet store, where they sell bread close to the expiration date for $1.05 per loaf or 4 for $3.99. They also sell bakery goods that are not near the expiration date, such as bread, cakes, pies, donuts, cookies, milk, juice. You can refrigerate or freeze the bread with near expiration dates to preserve it longer. The discounted stale bread are primarily loaves of 24 oz white bread, 24 oz wheat bread, although they sometimes have dinner rolls, donuts, pound cake, 16 oz cinnamon bread, etc.
They should add more locations, such as in Caguas, as that is a large unserved population center for discount bread.

Here is an example of typical Puerto Rican unprofessionalism. They list the stores, but neglect to list the hours when they are open. A well-managed operation and culture would list store hours for all locations to make it easy to do business, not difficult.
